On the 27th of November 2004, Yarra residents voted in the first socialist councillor in over 60 years - Socialist Party member Stephen Jolly.

This website has been setup to record the SP's four years in council and to provide a means for Yarra residents to see what SP are doing and ask questions.

The Councillor Diary will record Stephen's week to week work for the Council.

Yarra issues will detail what we see as Yarra Council's main issues. A lot of these issues we have been fighting for in the past, some of them have been suggested by the residents of Yarra when we door knocked the area.

Q & A is where anyone can ask questions of the Socialist Party which we will answer to the best of our ability. Questions can be anything to do with the Yarra Council (What is your position on the eastern freeway?) to broader questions (Why did Russia fail?). We will post selected questions on this page.
